JOB TITLE: General Automotive/Gasoline/Diesel Truck Mechanic

COMPANY INFORMATION: Ready Line Fleet Service is an in shop and onsite fleet service and repair company offering full- service preventative maintenance and commercial fleet repairs at our customer’s location, and our shop location in San Marcos.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Travel to client sites and provide maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services for gasoline and diesel trucks class 3 through class 6 vehicles. Additionally, in-shop maintenance and repairs on customer's vehicles.

JOB DUTIES:

• Receive direction and schedule from General Manager
• Perform instructed and scheduled repair, maintenance, and services as needed on various vehicles and equipment as instructed by the General Manager
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner on job status and schedule status
• Communicate regularly with General Manager on job status and schedule status
• Maintain service truck in a professional manner
• Stock and maintain service truck inventory, tool collection, and all necessary paperwork daily (candidate to provide own tools)
• Adhere to all traffic laws

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience with general automotive repair. maintenance, and diagnostics. Additionaly, an automotive background and the desire to train/learn and move into a diesel truck mechanic career.
• Must be able to provide sufficient tool inventory to perform job duties
• Physical requirements include standing, bending, lifting (50+ lbs.), and sitting for long periods of time in varied temperatures and weather conditions
• Must have a clean DMV printout – No moving violations
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Experience interacting directly with customers with high levels of customer service and communication skills
• High attendance and punctuality requirement
• Flexible working on all Makes, Models, and types of repairs
• Must have neat, legible handwriting

OPTIONAL REQUIREMENTS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Welding experience
• Class A or B license
• Bilingual – English / Spanish
• Construction Equipment

SERVICE AREAS: San Diego County (we provide service truck)

HOURS: Tuesday thru Saturday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

PAY RATE: $25 to $30 depending on experience.
