Gastroenterologist Shareholder Track-Hepatology Focus

Location: Eagan/Vadnais Heights

MNGI Digestive Health (MNGI) is a physician-owned, independent gastroenterology practice based in the Twin Cities, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of GI and liver disorders in adults and children. We are currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist with a focus in Hepatology to join our collaborative and innovative care team.

Position Overview:

  • Shareholder Track – 2-year path to shareholder status
  • Full-Time, Benefit Eligible
  • Monday–Friday Schedule with hospital coverage and on-call rotations
  • In-person role with access to cutting-edge technologies and subspecialty collaboration
  • General GI practice with 30–50% Hepatology clinic, or option for 100% Hepatology clinic.

Join our integrated Hepatology team, delivering collaborative care across multiple locations alongside GI physicians, APPs, dietitians, and psychologists. While transplant experience is valued, it is not required—our primary focus is on community-based hepatology.

  • Comprehensive liver care program with FibroScan, dietary counseling, and advanced diagnostics
  • Active clinical research in MASLD and related liver conditions
  • Collaboration with transplant centers and oncology specialists
  • Engaged hepatology team with focus group meetings/clubs and and peer engagement
  • Metabolic Health Program offering multidisciplinary care for patients with obesity, metabolic syndrome, and NAFLD/NASH—improving outcomes through coordinated lifestyle and medical management

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Special interest or training in Hepatology preferred
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Minnesota and Wisconsin
  • DEA certification or ability to obtain
  • Must meet credentialing/privileging criteria
  • J-1 Visa sponsorship not available

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting salary range: $400,000–$550,000 annually
    (Exact salary based on experience, education and performance)
