Job Title: Permanent Physician - Gastroenterology

Join a Leading Healthcare Facility: We are seeking a visionary and innovative Chief of Gastroenterology to lead the development of a high-impact academic division in Atlantic City, NJ. This facility is southeastern New Jersey s largest health system and a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient, dedicated to blending excellence in clinical care, research, and education.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and lead a cutting-edge GI program aligned with the Vision 2030 goals.
• Create a dynamic academic GI division emphasizing research, education, and advanced clinical care.
• Develop and expand advanced GI services including complex endoscopic procedures.
• Recruit, train, and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
• Serve as a hands-on clinical leader, providing expert consultation and management of complex GI cases.
• Drive collaboration across specialties, especially in cancer care.
• Manage endoscopic block time and robust referral volumes.
• Foster workforce development through mentoring and culture-building initiatives.
• Enhance access and reduce disparities by engaging with underserved communities.
• Lead the GI care delivery and education for Atlantic, Ocean, and Cape May Counties.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology (required).
• Active and unrestricted NJ state medical license (or willing to obtain).
• Valid BLS and ACLS certification (or willing to obtain).
• DEA and CSR/CDS certifications (or willing to obtain).
• Malpractice history disclosure along with documentation (history accepted with limitations).
• Experienced gastroenterologists only (no new grads).
• Preferred experience in program start-ups or leadership roles.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology (required).
• Active NJ state medical license (or willing to obtain).
• BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or willing to obtain).
