JOB SUMMARY:
The Fuel Sales Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining retail/convenience store accounts, commercial bulk fuel accounts and mobile refueling accounts. This job will require extensive fieldwork. Requirements include a two-year college degree in business or extensive knowledge in a sales-related field, general business experience, selling and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to negotiate and close contracts. Must have excellent computer skills. Experience in direct sales, account maintenance or marketing is required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Two-year college degree (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the fuel or petroleum industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively to meet sales goals.
  • Basic knowledge of fuel pricing and logistics.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must live in Orlando, Florida.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
  • Experience in B2B sales or within industries like transportation, logistics, or energy.
  • Knowledge of the fuel services market and regulatory considerations.
  • A network of contacts within the fuel industry or related sectors.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Arrive to work on time, consistently
  • Upon entering the property, arrive in business attire in crisp, clean and in good repair.
  • Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval
  • Attend all required training, office and departmental meetings
  • Grow customer base to increase profit
  • Lead Generation: Identify potential customers through research, networking, and cold calling. Develop a pipeline of prospects to expand the client base.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Sales Presentations: Present GATE Fuel Services’ products and services to potential customers, highlighting benefits and addressing any questions or concerns. Tailor presentations to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Quoting and Pricing: Prepare accurate quotes and pricing for fuel delivery and services, negotiating terms to close sales while maintaining profitability.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities and provide valuable insights to clients.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, including customer interactions, proposals, and contract agreements. Report on sales performance to the Sales Manager.
  • Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with the operations and dispatch teams to ensure customer needs are met and delivery schedules align with client expectations.
  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all clients
  • Perform any additional tasks requested or assigned by the Sales Manager (Fuel).
