To support "India Go Big", MBG procurement team needs to focus on part's localization more closely. New HC needed to:

Analysis of different electronic and mechanical items as per BOM to find new localization opportunities as per planned volumes

Supplier search and discussion as per our demand requirement

Discussion with Quality and R&D for specs etc and localization scope based on volume

NDA,RFQ activities with local suppliers, negotiate to get the best intial quote

Initial assesment of supplier for capacity and quality requirement

Preparing business case & decks etc as per applicable duty and freight charges and check savings

shortlist the most potential supplier based on saving estimation data, factory setup

Collaborate with Quality, R&D for Audit

Collaborate with EMS to onboard new supplier and agreement set up

Follow up on Current & Upcoming Projects (PBM, PM)

Biz case to add local part to new products BOM

CR raising and approvals follow up for adding local part to new product BOM

Qualification of localized parts for new product (Alt, Control run, Benchmark, HW/SW)

Collaborate with EMS, LME team to run local parts sample on Mfg line

Collaborate with Quality, RD on sample results etc and part qualification

Initiate Part addition in BOM after qualification

Supplier Visits for regular audits with Quality

Collaborate with EMS to monitor FC and supply of local suppliers, involve Global GSM if needed

Weekly Meeting to monitor supply issues, Lead time etc. (with EMS, Supplier local and China team)

Supplier's capacity monitoring to see the bottleneck at supplier side
