GCP Data Engineer (Weekend Drive-10-Jan-2026-Saturday)

Required Technical Skill Set

GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer etc.)
 SQL

 Terraform
 (PowerBI)

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have (Ideally should not be more than 5-9)



At least 4+ year’s work experience including hands-on as either: Data engineer on modern cloud data platforms /or advanced analytics environments, Software Engineer with cloud technologies and infrastructure
 Experience in different data formats (Avro, Parquet)Experience in data query languages (SQL or similar)
 Experience in data centric programming using one of more programming languages Python, Java /or Scala.
 Good understanding of different data modelling techniques and trade-off
 Knowledge of NoSQL and RDBMS databases
 Have a collaborative and co-creative mindset with excellent communication skills
 Motivated to work in an environment that allows you to work and take decisions independently
 Experience in working with data visualization tools

Experience in Power Bi
 Business understanding of retail industry

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1 Data Engineer to build/migrate existing solutions to GCP to support Data analysis and ML/AI products.
2 Build new data products on GCP using DBT and BigQuery
3 Collaborate with Solution architect and Business Experts to have relevant data model for the data products
4 Sync data from multiple sources using Cloud Functions and Python if necessary
5 Orchestrate different components and data pipelines parts with Terraform and Cloud Workflows
6 Collaborate with other Data Engineers/Scientists along with Software Engineers to solve the current needs in an optimal way
