As an IT DevOps engineer lead within our Enterprise Hosting Solutions org, you will be the Google Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) driving our Google Cloud Enablement initiatives. In this pivotal role, you'll deliver essential Google Cloud capabilities that help define our platform and shape the future of our cloud solutions. You will lead complex technical initiatives that expand and enhance our Google Cloud ecosystem. As a technical lead, you'll mentor team members, fostering growth, skill development, and shared expertise. You will play a key role in promoting a collaborative, innovative engineering culture across the organization.

This is a remote position for US based work only.
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm ET or CT

Must-have qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of six years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum of eight years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.

Preferred skills
  • Extensive hands-on experience with GCP architecture, deployment, optimization, and core services (resource hierarchy, IAM & Identity Federation, Google Workspace Administration, networking/VPC design, security/compliance, key management, and threat detection/SIEM integration).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Azure DevOps), and scripting or software development (Bash, Python, JSON/YAML, Google SDK).
  • Strong knowledge of GCP networking, security best practices, including VPC Service Controls, hybrid connectivity, Cloud Armor, Cloud KMS, secret management, and compliance.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging), defining SLOs/SLIs, and familiarity with CIEM tools (e.g., Wiz, Splunk).
  • Familiarity with GCP AI/ML services (Gemini Enterprise, NotebookLM, Vertex AI, Dialogflow, Gemini Code Assist)

Compensation
  • $132,000 - $146,000/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
