Job Description: Senior Data Scientist – Predictive Analytics & AI Agents (Azure)
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build predictive and explainable ML models focused on claims utilization analytics and forward-looking forecasts. The role will also design AI agents that enable conversational data insights over enterprise datasets within the Azure Data Fabric ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Build baseline, decomposition, behavioral driver, and forecasting models for utilization and cost
- Develop frequency–severity models (Poisson, Negative Binomial, Gamma, Tweedie)
- Apply explainable AI techniques (e.g., SHAP, driver attribution)
- Work hands-on within Azure Data Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Fabric Data Science)
- Integrate models with Power BI semantic models
- Design and implement AI/LLM-based agents for conversational querying and insight generation across Azure datasets
Required Skills
- 5–8+ years in data science or advanced analytics
- Strong experience in insurance / healthcare / benefits analytics
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, ML & statistical modeling
- Experience building AI agents or copilots using LLMs (Azure OpenAI preferred)
- Strong communication skills to translate analytics into business insights
Preferred: Azure ML, Fabric, MLOps, Feature Stores, Responsible AI experience.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $140,000 per year
