POSITION SUMMARY: The General Maintenance / Duty Engineer performs day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure facilities, equipment, and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on facilities, equipment, and grounds.
- Troubleshoot and complete complex repairs across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
- Ensures work is done in a quality and timely manner.
- Work with other departments to address maintenance needs and minimize operational impact.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum years of experience: 1 year in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
- Certificate(s) or License(s): Possess a valid Missouri “E” or Arkansas “D” driver’s license with “P” endorsement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in operating work order management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to work independently.
