Job Summary: Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities including sales invoicing, accounts payable, payroll preparation, bank reconciliations, and supporting the month-end closing process. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with company policies and adherence to UAE financial and VAT regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Receivables:
  • Prepare and issue sales invoices and credit notes in coordination with the sales and operations teams.
  • Record and maintain accounts receivable transactions accurately.
  • Follow up with customers for timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Payables & Procurement Accounting:
  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring proper approvals and matching with purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Maintain accounts payable ledger and prepare supplier reconciliations. Schedule and process payments (cheques, bank transfers, or online).
  • Maintain proper documentation for supplier payments and ensure VAT compliance.
  • Payroll & Staff Accounting:
  • Prepare monthly payroll in coordination with HR (salaries, allowances, overtime, and deductions).
  • Maintain employee advances and expense claims records.
  • Process payroll payments and ensure timely WPS submissions as per UAE regulations.
  • Bank & Cash Management:
  • Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Record petty cash transactions and reconcile balances.
  • Monitor daily cash flow and assist in cash forecasting.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing process.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Assist in preparing management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Support auditors by providing required schedules and documentation.
  • Compliance & Controls:
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in preparing VAT returns.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records for audit and management review.
  • Follow company accounting policies and internal control procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in UAE).
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing.
  • Working knowledge of UAE VAT and basic labor law related to payroll.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
