Job Summary: Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities including sales invoicing, accounts payable, payroll preparation, bank reconciliations, and supporting the month-end closing process. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with company policies and adherence to UAE financial and VAT regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Receivables:
- Prepare and issue sales invoices and credit notes in coordination with the sales and operations teams.
- Record and maintain accounts receivable transactions accurately.
- Follow up with customers for timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Payables & Procurement Accounting:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring proper approvals and matching with purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Maintain accounts payable ledger and prepare supplier reconciliations. Schedule and process payments (cheques, bank transfers, or online).
- Maintain proper documentation for supplier payments and ensure VAT compliance.
- Payroll & Staff Accounting:
- Prepare monthly payroll in coordination with HR (salaries, allowances, overtime, and deductions).
- Maintain employee advances and expense claims records.
- Process payroll payments and ensure timely WPS submissions as per UAE regulations.
- Bank & Cash Management:
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Record petty cash transactions and reconcile balances.
- Monitor daily cash flow and assist in cash forecasting.
- Financial Reporting:
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Assist in preparing management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Support auditors by providing required schedules and documentation.
- Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist in preparing VAT returns.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records for audit and management review.
- Follow company accounting policies and internal control procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (preferably in UAE).
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing.
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT and basic labor law related to payroll.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
