Role Description

The General Accountant is responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate financial records to support effective financial decision-making. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies while contributing to smooth month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements regularly to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Conduct month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized and updated financial records, ledgers, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with audits by preparing required documents and supporting external auditors.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and improve operational efficiency.


Requirements

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in general accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • 1-3 Years of experience
