General Accountant

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain accurate books of accounts including general ledger, journals, and ledgers.
• Record daily financial transactions such as receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices, verify supporting documents, and prepare payment schedules.
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Maintain ageing reports for payables and receivables.

3. Bank & Cash Management

• Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash and prepare petty cash reconciliation.
• Monitor cash flow and report shortfalls or excesses to management.

4. Payroll & Expense Control

• Assist in payroll processing by coordinating attendance, overtime, and deductions.
• Verify employee expense claims and reimbursements.
• Ensure proper accounting of salaries, overtime, and allowances.

5. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statements, trial balance, and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
• Provide financial data and analysis to management when required.

6. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Maintain records for VAT filings, tax returns, and regulatory submissions (if applicable).

7. Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with procurement, operations, HR, and sales departments for financial matters.
• Support project cost tracking and job costing.
• Assist management with financial planning and decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (construction / fit-out / glass industry preferred).
• Knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
• Experience in UAE accounting practices is an advantage.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
