General Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance, and support our finance team in Oman. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and Omani financial regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Omani accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
• Collaborate with external auditors and banks for audits and financial reporting.
• Provide support in tax filings and VAT compliance (as per Omani regulations).
• Identify and suggest improvements in financial processes and internal controls.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a General Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Oman tax laws, VAT, and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO350.000 - RO600.000 per month
