Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our Finance Team in a growing Waterproofing Manufacturing Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close processes, supporting financial reporting, handling Accounts Receivable, credit control and Fixed Assets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.

The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound accounting knowledge, and advanced Excel capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, petty cash and general ledger activities.

· Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.

· Monitor and reconcile Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely collections and accurate ageing reports, supplier reconciliations. Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes.

· Perform three-way matching of Accounts Payablebefore processing bank payments and accurate ageing report. Oversee the expense management tool and ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of employee expenses.

· Maintain and control Fixed Assets register, WIP capitalization, depreciation, and periodic physical verification.

· Ensure compliance with UAE VAT/CT regulations and support VAT/CT return preparation.

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using Advanced Excel and Power BI.

· Coordinate with internal departments including Production, Procurement, and Sales for cost tracking and reporting.

· Support internal and external audit requirements.

· Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

· Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

· Up to 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, etc.).

· Strong working knowledge of Power BI for financial dashboards and analytics.

· Familiarity with ERP systems (Divalto, GPAO, or similar) is an advantage.

· Must hold a valid UAE Driving License, as will commute to Abu Dhabi 2–3 times per week to handle cash sales collections and coordinate financial matters, also shall report duty at the plant as part of his job.

· Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving ability and communication skills.

· Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.

· Team player with a proactive approach.

· Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
