General Accountant

• Financial Record Keeping:
• • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Preparation of Financial Statements:
• • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
• Reconciliations:
• • Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Supporting Audits:
• • Prepare financial documentation for audits.
  • Assist in the coordination of external audits.
• Budget Monitoring:
• • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
  • Provide variance reports to management.
• Compliance:
• • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial legislation and best practices.
• Accounting Software:
• • Utilize accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) for transactions and reporting.
  • Assist in implementing new financial software solutions.
• Internal Controls:
• • Assist in maintaining and enforcing internal controls.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
• Team Collaboration:
• • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional Experience

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis functions.

Certifications

• ZAT or IFRS other relevant certification is a plus but not required.
