General Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations. Experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, or storage industry will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare VAT calculations and ensure timely filing in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections.
• Assist with audits and provide required financial information.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Zoho Books).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations is preferred.
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, or related industries is an advantage.
