General Accountant for Restaurants

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our multi-chain restaurant business. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in restaurant accounting, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day bookkeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, recipe costing and cash flow monitoring.
• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple outlets, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile sales, inventories, and commissions between the ERP system and accounting software.
• Prepare and process payments, invoices, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and financial reporting.
• Manage and update vendor accounts and ensure timely payments.
• Monitor cash balances and assist in cash flow forecasting.
• Support external, internal, and revenue audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and other financial laws.
• Assist in the preparation of profitability analysis and financial reports for management review.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, expenses, and fixed assets.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, specifically in the restaurant & F&B, hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant financial processes, including inventory, revenue reconciliation, and cost control.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sapaad.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT laws and financial regulations.
• Ability to prepare detailed and accurate financial reports within deadlines.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• A proactive, detail-oriented team player with the ability to multitask.

Salary Range: AED 4,000 - 5,000 (All-Inclusive) based on experience and qualifications.

Availability: Can join immediately (preferably candidates on a Cancel Visa or a Visit Visa)
