General Accountant – UAE Trading Company Experience

We are looking for a General Accountant with UAE trading company experience to manage financial transactions, VAT compliance, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, financial reporting, and trading company accounting processes.

This role requires hands-on experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, inventory accounting, and financial reporting within a UAE-based trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle UAE VAT preparation, VAT return filing, and compliance with FTA regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and supplier/customer account reconciliation.
• Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, credit notes, and expense entries.
• Maintain accounting records related to inventory and trading transactions.
• Support budget preparation, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and company financial policies.
• Assist with internal audits and external audit documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in a UAE trading company.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and tax compliance.
• Experience using ERP or accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple accounting tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in import/export accounting and inventory accounting.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Experience working in UAE trading, marine supply, industrial supply, or import/export companies.
