Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across various areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on facility systems such as lighting, HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and flooring to prevent issues before they arise
• Execute floor care procedures including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
• Assist with industrial cleaning projects that may involve high-pressure washing or specialized equipment for large-scale or heavy-duty tasks
• Support custodial operations by replenishing supplies like paper products and cleaning agents while ensuring proper storage and disposal
• Identify maintenance needs or safety hazards promptly and report them to the appropriate personnel for resolution
• Maintain detailed records of completed cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols

Qualifications

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a strong understanding of commercial and residential cleaning practices
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is highly desirable
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, and basic hand tools effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning duties including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
