We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join a thriving dental practice. This role requires expertise in general dentistry, and will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations to understand the needs of the patient.
- Provide preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care, including but not limited to dental extractions, fillings, SS crowns, space maintainers etc.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to deliver optimal patient care
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continued education and training
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Active CA dental license
- Excellent patient care skills experience with a focus on strong communication and empathy
- Expert knowledge of dental terminology
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix
- Great understanding of medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry
- Experience in dental clinic operations and patient management
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments using medical and dental terminology
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Conduct various dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery
- Utilize digital imaging and other diagnostic tools to evaluate oral health status
- Practice infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to deliver efficient four-handed dentistry
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice dentistry
- Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental fabrication, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery
- Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging, infection control, and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Ability to perform procedures such as root canal therapy, dental extractions, and pediatric dentistry with precision and care
- Experience working in a dental clinic or office environment is preferred
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care while adhering to all safety and ethical standards
Pay: $109,079.35 - $131,364.38 per year
