Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care within a dynamic clinical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with expertise in patient assessment, treatment planning, and delivering high-quality dental services. As a key member of our dental team, you will ensure optimal oral health for patients by utilizing advanced techniques and maintaining strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols. Your role will involve working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric and adult patients, to promote healthy smiles and improve overall well-being.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures such as dental examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control standards consistently to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Use dental imaging tools and medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage medical documentation meticulously, including updating electronic health records with detailed notes on procedures performed.
- Collaborate with specialists in oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry when necessary for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain proficiency in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record-keeping purposes.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies to promote long-term oral health.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a General Dentist in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and other restorative procedures.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and experience treating pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health is essential for accurate documentation and communication.
- Experience utilizing electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to the head, neck, teeth, and oral structures.
- Commitment to patient care excellence with the ability to assess complex cases effectively.
