Job Overview

Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations, medical history reviews, and oral health evaluations using advanced medical imaging techniques.
• Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics to restore and maintain oral health.
• Conduct dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), and oral surgery procedures with precision and aseptic technique to ensure patient safety.
• Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-treatment instructions effectively to patients.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and update electronic health records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar systems.
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and prevent cross-contamination.
• Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term oral health.

Requirements

• Valid license to practice dentistry in the relevant jurisdiction with current certification.
• Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or office setting; familiarity with dental office experience is essential.
• Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and medical records management.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and medical imaging techniques.
• Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics procedures, and oral surgery is highly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds while demonstrating excellent patient care skills.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles for treating pediatric patients with sensitivity and professionalism.
