Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on both diesel and petrol engines
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues using appropriate diagnostic tools
Inspect vehicles, generators, and construction equipment to ensure proper functionality
Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life
Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, fuel injectors, and ignition systems
Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems in light and heavy equipment
Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and parts usage
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform on-site emergency repairs when required
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the workshop and tools
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or certification in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a diesel/petrol mechanic, preferably in construction or fleet maintenance
Strong knowledge of both diesel and petrol engine systems
Experience with light vehicles, heavy equipment, and generators is an advantage
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
Basic computer skills for maintenance records and reporting are preferred
Knowledge of safety practices and workshop procedures
