LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY — IN-PERSON POSITION

Liddane Tutoring & Learning Services (LTLS) is seeking a motivated and compassionate Math and Science Tutor to join our team of holistic educators. This is an in-person position based at our Green Lake office in Seattle. Only local candidates who can meet students in person will be considered.

About the Role

We’re looking for a tutor who can support students in a one-on-one setting, building both academic understanding and executive functioning skills. This role focuses primarily on elementary and middle school math, with experience in calculus, chemistry, physics, biology, or other upper-level math and science subjects considered a strong bonus.

Subjects include (but are not limited to):
Algebra • Geometry • Trigonometry • Calculus • Physics • Chemistry • Biology

Our approach is relationship-based and grounded in social-emotional learning. We value educators who can build trust, model self-advocacy, and foster confidence in their students. Tutors typically work with a diverse range of students from both public and private schools across the Seattle area.

Because relationships are central to our mission, we ask all tutors to commit to working with their assigned students through the academic year.

About LTLS

Founded in 2001, Liddane Tutoring & Learning Services is built on the belief that trust, respect, and high expectations create the foundation for student success. When students feel supported, they grow in self-reliance and achievement.

Our mission is to engage and empower all learners through modeling, dialogue, and strategy. We serve students with learning differences as well as mainstream and accelerated learners. Our team of ~25 tutors collaborates closely, sharing strategies and supporting one another in the shared mission of championing students.

  • Flexible thinker who can adapt communication style to meet individual student and family needs

Hours

  • Expected tutoring hours: 7–20 per week (after a short ramp-up period)
  • Additional paid administrative time: approximately 10–25 total hours per week
