A-Life Handyman is expanding fast, serving senior living communities, apartments, property managers, realtors, and homeowners across Central Jersey. We’re looking for a professional, reliable, well-rounded Handyman Technician who takes pride in high-quality work, safety, communication, and customer experience.
This role supports a wide range of residential and light commercial repairs — no two days look the same. If you have strong trade skills, enjoy solving problems, and want to grow with a company that values professionalism and speed, we want to talk.
Key Responsibilities
You will perform a variety of repair, maintenance, and small-project tasks, including:
General Handyman Work
- Drywall repairs, patching, touch-up painting
- Door repairs: alignment, hardware, locks, weatherstripping
- Furniture assembly, shelving, TV mounting
- Caulking (bathrooms, kitchens, windows)
- Minor carpentry, trim, molding fixes
Safety & Senior Living Work
- Install grab bars, railings, anti-slip solutions
- Adjust doors for ADA compliance
- Correct trip hazards and perform basic safety inspections
- Handle in-unit small repairs for seniors with patience and professionalism
Property Manager & Apartment Turn Work
- Punch list repairs
- Move-in / move-out fixes
- Light fixture replacements
- Small plumbing tasks (faucets, toilets, leaks)
- Minor electrical (switches, outlets, fixtures)
Homeowner & Realtor Market-Ready Work
- Pre-sale repair punchlists
- Weatherproofing & winterization (weatherstrips, door sweeps, insulation film)
- Smart home installs (locks, thermostats, Ring devices)
Required Skills & Experience
Must have:
- 5+ years of professional handyman or multi-trade experience
- Strong skills in drywall, painting, carpentry, doors, and general repairs
- Ability to perform basic plumbing & electrical (non-permit work)
- Comfortable using apps for scheduling, notes, and job photos
- Professional appearance, strong customer communication
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
