Hiring for General Labor in City of Industry. Temp to hire position, must have good attendance and performance! 1st shift 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch) **must take breaks and lunch breaks off of premises** Pay $17.00 an hour Position starts ASAP Must come in our office for an interview to be considered! For this position you will need to pick orders, label and place stickers, and be responsible for cleaning up workstations and other warehouse areas. Must be authorized to work in the US. Job Summary: Responsible for performing varying tasks at the job location they have been assigned too. The General Laborer will adhere to safety regulations and maintain high standards of efficiency and productivity in their work. This is a crucial role that contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse or distribution center. Responsibilities may differ from job description depending on the location of the temp assignment. Responsibilities: Shipping/Receiving- using Radio Frequency (RF) Scanner to receive items or prep for shipping. Labeling- applying labels to packages or products directly. Utilizing RF Scanner to scan in items or packages of product. Packaging product into boxes. Picking items from aisles or racks using RF Scanners. Maintaining a clean and organized work station, ensuring that aisles and storage areas are clear and free from obstructions. Creating pallets and/or moving boxes of up to 30lbs. Shrink wrapping the pre-made pallets. Managing, organizing and retrieving stock from the warehouse. Loading and unloading delivery trucks or containers and storing items in their designated locations. Record and maintain accurate product inventory. Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality control. Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and prioritize tasks. Other tasks assigned. Qualifications: At least a year of warehouse experience preferred. Experience with RF Scanners may be required for some clients, but a plus for other clients. Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception. Physical stamina and strength to perform the required duties, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation purposes preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed. Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity, if necessary. Ability to hear and understand audible signals and instructions in a noisy environment. Good vision, including depth perception and peripheral vision, to safely maneuver the forklift and navigate through the facility. The Forklift Driver will adhere to safety regulations and maintain high standards of efficiency and productivity in their work. This is a crucial role that contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse or distribution center. Responsibilities: - Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials as required. - Transport materials to designated locations within the facility using the forklift. - Load and unload trucks and shipping containers, ensuring proper stacking and securing of items. - Inspect and maintain the forklift, ensuring that it is in good working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. - Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating the forklift and handling materials. - Complete daily logs and documentation related to forklift operations, including inspection reports, maintenance records, and material movement records. - Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and prioritize tasks. - Assist with general warehouse duties such as labeling, palletizing and shrink wrapping among other tasks as needed. - Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that aisles and storage areas are clear and free from obstructions. - Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality control.
Proven experience as a forklift driver, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment. - Strong knowledge of forklift operations and safety regulations. - Ability to operate a forklift skillfully and safely, including maneuvering in tight spaces and around obstacles. - Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception. - Physical stamina and strength to perform the required duties, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods. - Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks. - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation purposes. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
