General Laborer

Moorhead is a land clearing and site preparation contractor specializing in large-scale projects including solar farms, commercial developments, and right-of-way clearing. Our team is dedicated to safety, quality, and efficiency, and we are seeking skilled operators to join our growing company.

Position Summary:

We are looking for motivated Laborers/Groundmen to support land clearing and construction projects. This role is essential in assisting equipment operators, maintaining safe job sites, and performing hands-on work such as debris removal, site prep, and general labor tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused and willing to work in outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist equipment operators and crews with daily site operations.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as clearing debris, setting up job sites and preparing materials.
• Maintain safe work zones by spotting for equipment and directing traffic when needed.
• Use hand tools, chainsaws and small equipment as directed.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues promptly to supervisors.
• Support land clearing and construction crews with additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Prior construction or land clearing experience preferred but not required (will train).
• Ability to safely use hand tools and small equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions.
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to travel to job sites (per diem provided where applicable).
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry and move up to 75 lbs. regularly.
• Comfortable working on foot for long hours in rugged terrain.
• Ability to bend, stoop and perform physically demanding tasks.
