General Laborer
Description:
- Maintain the aesthetic appeal and safety of Plaisted Companies' outdoor areas, including the pit, landscape outdoor display, block yard, and parking lots.
- Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and operating/maintaining landscaping equipment.
- Perform and complete inspections on all equipment being used, making minor repairs and reporting any discrepancies found.
- Clean and replace landscaping areas around the office, which include rock and mulch beds.
- Clean all equipment and vehicles daily assigned to ensure that the equipment is clean and presents a professional appearance.
- Assist the landscape store with weeding, trimming, and removing debris from the outdoor showcase area.
- Apply weed killer and fertilizer in designated areas as needed.
- Assist in organizing the equipment, vehicles, and materials as directed in order to maintain easy access throughout the pit mining area.
- Assist in maintaining the pit and storage areas in compliance with MSHA and OSHA regulations, including first aid, fall hazard, and fire extinguishers.
- Continually seek methods of controlling and reducing costs.
- Maintains cooperative working relationships with other internal and external customers.
- Respects the confidentiality of the company, customers and personnel information.
- Always at work punctually in order to ensure that customer service may be maintained.
- Makes the best use of time during working hours. Seeks guidance and direction as necessary to perform duties.
- Maintains a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and situation. Wearing the company uniform when at work.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver License
