General Laborer - Asphalt Plant

*VALID DRIVERS LICENSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION*

As an ASPHALT PLANT LABORER, you’ll be:

· Operating hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.

· Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.

· Helping equipment operators and other skilled labor when necessary.

· Loading, unloading, or identifying building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.

· Perform site activities required of green certified construction/production practices, such as implementing waste management procedures, identifying materials for reuse, or installing erosion or sedimentation control mechanisms.

· Performing site clean-up.

As an ASPHALT PLANT LABORER, you’ll need:

· To be at least 18 years of age

· A high school diploma or equivalent

· Basic mathematical skills

· Experience as a general laborer in the construction industry.

· To demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.

· Reliable transportation. Some nights, weekends an overtime hours are expected.

· Project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous, professional conduct with supervisors, co-workers, customers and the public.

Job Type: Full-time

• Applicants must be available to work any day of the week and any shift. Shifts can range anywhere from 40 hours a week in the slower months to 60 hours a week in the busier summer months. Are you willing and able to work this schedule?

• This position is located at our Astec Plant in Weatherford, OK. You have the option of commuting in a personal vehicle to Weatherford, OK, or you can receive company transportation from our Oklahoma City location to Weatherford, OK. Are you willing and able to complete this commute?
