Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Laborer - Installer to join our construction team. This role involves performing a variety of installation and construction tasks across different projects, requiring hands-on experience with tools, materials, and building techniques. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of building components such as cabinetry, doors, windows, and flooring.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform tasks related to concrete forming, finishing, masonry, and plastering as needed.
- Conduct demolition or removal of existing structures or materials in preparation for new installations.
- Support framing, roofing, stucco application, drywall hanging, caulking, and trim carpentry projects.
- Assist with fabrication tasks including cutting and shaping materials on-site.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work or related roles; familiarity with construction management or estimating is a plus.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with various trades such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, drywall installation, or flooring is preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, or restoration work is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and work effectively within a team environment.
- Prior experience with Bluebeam software or similar digital markup tools is beneficial but not required.
