General Labourer

The General Labourer is responsible to assist in day-to-day construction and maintenance tasks by performing manual labour, transporting materials, preparing worksites, and supporting skilled tradesmen and engineers. The General Labourer ensures cleanliness, safety, and efficiency across worksites and facilities, contributing to the smooth execution of engineering and construction operations.

JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or equivalent (preferred)
• Physically fit and capable of handling strenuous tasks
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations (preferably with safety training certification)
• No specific license required unless operating machinery or vehicles

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or maintenance labour work (preferred)
• Experience working in high-temperature environments and outdoor sites
• Previous exposure to construction sites, tools, and safety practices

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Support & Manual Labor

• Assists with digging, lifting, carrying, loading/unloading materials, and site clearing
• Prepares construction and maintenance areas as directed
• Operates basic tools and assists with machinery setup under supervision
• Mixes concrete, assists in carpentry, masonry, painting, or demolition tasks

Safety & Cleanliness

• Follows all safety procedures and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Keeps the site clean, organized, and free from hazards
• Assists in setting up barriers and signage for work zone safety
• Reports unsafe conditions or accidents immediately

Team Collaboration

• Works effectively with skilled workers, supervisors, and engineers
• Follows verbal and written instructions accurately
• Maintains a cooperative and positive attitude on site
• Flexible in taking on a variety of physical tasks as needed

Basic Maintenance Knowledge

• Helps with cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
• Supports in minor repairs or adjustments under instruction
• Moves materials, tools, and debris as directed
