General Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

Shamiya Catering is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support our network of restaurants and central kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled, hands-on technician with experience in both restaurant equipment and general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintenance of:
• AC units, chillers, refrigerators, and freezers
• Kitchen equipment (fryers, ovens, grills, dishwashers, etc.)
• Plumbing systems – leaks, drainage, and water lines
• Basic electrical systems – sockets, switches, lights
• General civil works – tiling, wall patching, gypsum board repairs
• Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance
• Respond to emergency breakdowns across branches
• Track job orders using a mobile device or Excel
• Assist with loading/unloading and heavy lifting as needed

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance (preferably in restaurants or hospitality)
• Skilled in AC/refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment
• Experience with both gas and electric equipment
• Valid driver’s license (Kuwait or international)
• Able to work alone and take ownership of repairs
• Willing to be on-call 24/7 for urgent issues
• Basic English and knowledge of mobile apps or Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: KD200.000 - KD350.000 per month
