he General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive servicing of equipment, machinery, and facilities within the F&B production and retail outlets. The role ensures smooth daily operations, minimal downtime, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment such as ovens, chillers, freezers, mixers, display units, coffee machines, and dishwashers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns.

2. Facility Maintenance

  • Carry out general maintenance including carpentry, painting, basic electrical works, and plumbing tasks.
  • Maintain lighting, AC units, ventilation systems, and small fixtures across outlets and central kitchen.
  • Inspect and maintain health and safety standards within all facilities.

3. Preventive & Corrective Work

  • Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks.
  • Respond promptly to corrective maintenance requests raised by stores and kitchen teams.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all maintenance tasks follow F&B hygiene and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain documentation, logs, and reports of repair and maintenance activities.
  • Support compliance with Qatar Civil Defense and municipality requirements when needed.

5. Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with external contractors when specialized servicing is required.
  • Assist in installation of new equipment and layout changes.
  • Provide technical support during inspections and audits.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in the F&B / Hospitality sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience with commercial kitchen equipment maintenance is an advantage.
  • Ability to read manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
  • Physically fit and able to handle equipment and tools.
