About the Role
We are looking for a commercially astute, high-impact leader to head our entire Brand
Management function. As
General Manager – Brands
, you will own the vision, performance,
and growth of a multi-brand portfolio across
global (Amazon.com, Walmart, eBay)
and
Indian
marketplaces (Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa)
as well as
D2C channels
. You will lead a team of
Brand Managers and drive
P&L performance, channel strategy, brand scaling
, and cross
functional execution.
This is a
CXO-track role
for someone who thrives in ambiguity, scales aggressively, and aligns
brand building with bottom-line ownership.
Key Responsibilities

Own the
P&L
for all brands across geographies — drive revenue, margin, and category
-
expansion targets

Lead and mentor a team of Brand Managers; review brand-level strategy, performance,
-
and marketing ROI
-
Define and implement GTM strategies to scale brands from
0 to 100
— via D2C,
- Amazon.com, and other global platforms
-
Collaborate with
Sourcing, Supply Chain, Creative, Digital Marketing, Catalog, and
-
Operations
to deliver best-in-class execution
-
Lead
channel diversification
: identify marketplace opportunities (India & International),
-
prioritize D2C profitability
-
Partner with Product and Finance teams on pricing, forecasting, and inventory planning
-
Regularly review brand health metrics (CVR, CTR, ROAS, ACOS, CM1, Sell-through)
-
and drive corrective actions
-
Oversee new brand incubation, launch playbooks, and lifecycle management Contribute to board-level strategy, investor updates, and market expansion roadmaps
What We’re Looking For

12–20 years of leadership experience across
e-commerce, brand management, or
-
digital retail
-
Proven track record of
full P&L ownership
(₹50 Cr+ annual turnover), team leadership,

and 3-year+ brand tenure
-
Deep familiarity with marketplaces (Amazon.com, Flipkart, Myntra, Walmart) and D2C
-
execution

Experience in scaling private label or owned brands in India and/or the US market

Strong analytical decision-making: comfortable working with dashboards, data tools, and
-
BI reports
-
Exposure to international market dynamics and marketplace compliance (especially for
-
US or EU)
Preferred Experience

Background in fast-paced e-commerce or D2C environments (aggregators, unicorn

startups, MNCs)

Strategic brand building with hands-on execution of campaigns, pricing, and positioning

MBA or advanced degrees from Tier 1 institutions (IIMs, ISB, INSEAD, or similar)

Experience in managing cross-border teams or distributed brand pods
