General Manager

Job Summary:

One of our clients are looking for General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the aviation fuel business. This includes managing fuel supply contracts, terminal operations, into-plane services, and ensuring compliance with international aviation fuel standards. The GM will lead commercial growth, operational efficiency, and stakeholder relationships with airports, airlines, regulators, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute long-term business strategies aligned with corporate goals.

Identify market opportunities and expansion strategies (new airports, regions, services).

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital investment planning.

Operational Management

Oversee end-to-end aviation fuel operations including storage, handling, quality control, and into-plane fueling.

Ensure compliance with international standards (JIG, IATA, ICAO) and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Optimize supply chain, logistics, and inventory management.

Commercial & Business Development

Manage key customer accounts (airlines, airports, government entities).

Negotiate and manage contracts with fuel suppliers, airport authorities, and service providers.

Monitor market trends, pricing, and competition to ensure competitiveness.

Financial Oversight

Drive profitability through cost control, margin management, and operational efficiency.

Monitor P&L, KPIs, and financial performance against targets.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior leadership.

Team Leadership

Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team (operations, commercial, finance, safety).

Foster a performance-driven and safety-first culture.

Ensure training, compliance, and professional development of staff.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement

Represent the company with regulatory bodies, airport authorities, and industry associations.

Ensure licenses, permits, and certifications are maintained.

Lead audits and respond to any findings or incidents.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field (MBA preferred).

10+ years of progressive experience in aviation fuel operations, oil & gas, or airport services, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

Strong understanding of aviation fueling standards and supply chain.

Proven leadership, financial acumen, and strategic planning skills.

Experience managing large teams and multiple stakeholders.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
