ASIF TRADERS is a market leader in the Automotive sector, renowned for its specialization in Imported Tyres & Alloy Rims. We are seeking a visionary and highly strategic General Manager to spearhead our financial and operational success. This is a critical leadership role that reports directly to the Directors and will drive the overall efficiency, profitability and growth of the company.
Position: General Manager
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the holistic management of the company's operations, with a strong emphasis on financial oversight and strategic business development. You will ensure that all departments Sales, Finance, Inventory and Logistics work in seamless alignment to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Control: Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting and financial risk management.
- Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, variance analysis and management reports for the Directors.
- Cash Flow Management: Strategic management of working capital, including optimal oversight of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
- Banking & Foreign Exchange: Manage all corporate banking relationships, oversee complex banking transactions and strategically manage foreign exchange exposure for import operations.
- Inventory Optimization: Strategize and manage the inventory of Imported Tyres & Alloy Rims, ensuring optimal stock levels, efficient warehousing and minimizing carrying costs.
- Logistics Oversight: Supervise the entire supply chain, from international procurement and shipment tracking to local distribution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Systems & Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to operational and financial processes to enhance productivity, accuracy and control.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and manage departmental heads and the entire team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability and professional development.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to all statutory and regulatory compliance standards, including tax laws and sector-specific regulations.
- Audit Management: Act as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring a smooth process and the availability of all necessary documentation and financial data.
Qualifications:
- Education: A minimum of a Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or General Manager role, preferably within the automotive, import/export or related trading sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in advanced financial modeling, ERP system and high proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional strategic thinking, organizational and executive leadership skills. Proven ability to analyze complex data, solve problems decisively, and communicate effectively at all levels.
