The General Manager – Business Consulting Unit will be responsible for leading, expanding, and managing the entire business consulting division, including marketing consulting, IT/software development services, business advisory engagements, international partnerships, and new business initiatives.
The GM must have strong commercial acumen, the ability to secure high-value clients, expertise in consulting delivery, and the strategic mindset to grow the unit into a multi-service business hub.

This role involves leadership across business development, proposal design, client acquisition, project execution, team management, international liaison, and strategic planning for future expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Drive revenue growth by acquiring clients for:
  • Business consulting services
  • Marketing campaigns and branding solutions
  • Software house projects (web, app, ERP, CRM, automation, etc.)
  • International collaborations, government relations, and global partnerships
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to meet annual targets.
  • Identify new markets, industries, and corporate sectors for expansion.
  • Lead sales presentations, pitches, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Build strong relationships with CEOs, decision-makers, and senior corporate stakeholders.

Leadership of Consulting & Advisory Services

  • Oversee the delivery of business consulting projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Design consultancy frameworks, process audits, strategic action plans, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Develop sector-specific consulting solutions (retail, education, HR, immigration, tourism, tech, etc.).
  • Ensure the consulting team maintains strong analytical, reporting, and client-facing skills.
  • Review and approve all project documents, operational plans, market research, and strategy deliverables.

Marketing Campaigns & Branding Solutions

  • Plan and supervise marketing consultancy services including:
  • Digital marketing strategy
  • Social media campaigns
  • Brand development
  • Customer acquisition strategies
  • Lead generation models
  • Work closely with creative, content, and design teams to deliver marketing campaigns for clients.
  • Ensure all campaigns are result-driven and aligned with client KPIs.

Software House & Technology Projects

  • Coordinate with the software development division for:
  • Corporate websites
  • Mobile applications
  • Custom software and automation tools
  • CRMs and ERPs
  • Ensure timely delivery, quality control, and client satisfaction for all tech projects.
  • Act as the bridge between clients and the software engineering team.
  • Identify new tech solutions and innovations that can be introduced as services.

International Liaison & Global Partnerships

  • Develop and manage relationships with:
  • International consulting firms
  • Trade bodies and chambers of commerce
  • Global marketing agencies
  • International vendors and solution providers
  • Explore overseas business opportunities in the Middle East, Europe, USA, Canada, and Australia.
  • Establish joint ventures, MOUs, and collaboration models for international expansion.
  • Represent the organisation in international meetings, exhibitions, and networking events.

Unit Expansion & New Venture Development

  • Identify new business verticals and expansion opportunities aligned with organisational goals.
  • Develop feasibility studies, business plans, and cost–benefit analyses for new ventures.
  • Launch new departments, solutions, or service lines under the Business Consulting Unit.
  • Ensure continuous innovation and diversification of services.

Operational & Project Management

  • Supervise project timelines, resource allocation, team capacity, and performance metrics.
  • Establish and enforce SOPs for consulting, marketing, and software project delivery.
  • Ensure smooth communication with clients, timely reporting, and professional execution.
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets, billing, and profitability of each project.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure long-term retention.
  • Hold monthly and quarterly review meetings with key clients.
  • Address escalations, concerns, or performance issues promptly.
  • Maintain high service standards across all consulting, marketing, and tech deliverables.

Team Leadership & Human Resource Development

  • Lead and mentor teams across:
  • Business Development
  • Consulting
  • Marketing & Creative
  • Software Development
  • International Relations
  • Identify staffing needs, recruit capable talent, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Ensure continuous training and professional development within the unit.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports for management.
  • Track KPIs for revenue, client acquisition, project performance, and team efficiency.
  • Provide forecasts, growth projections, and risk assessments.
  • Propose actionable improvements based on data-driven insights.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, IT Management, or relevant field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in business consulting, marketing, IT services, or corporate development.
  • Proven history of achieving revenue targets and securing corporate clients.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis, marketing strategy, software development lifecycle, and corporate consulting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in international business relations is highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
