General Manager Civil

Key Responsibilities

A. Planning & Project Management

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of all civil construction projects on campus.
• Prepare detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Review architectural and structural drawings and provide technical recommendations.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new infrastructure projects.

B. Execution & Supervision

• Oversee day-to-day construction and renovation activities.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety norms, and statutory regulations.
• Supervise contractors, engineers, supervisors, and site teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Inspect and approve construction materials, workmanship, and quality standards.

C. Maintenance & Facilities Management

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, classrooms, hostels, roads, and campus utilities.
• Ensure all civil structures are safe, functional, and well maintained.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and housekeeping departments for integrated facilities management.

D. Budgeting & Vendor Management

• Prepare and manage budgets for construction and civil works.
• Evaluate and finalize tenders, contracts, and procurement of materials.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective solutions.

E. Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with local municipal regulations, environmental norms, and safety standards.
• Maintain documentation for approvals, permits, and statutory clearances.
• Provide periodic progress reports to university leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 12 plus years of relevant experience, preferably in educational institutions, large campuses, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, project management, and facilities operations.
• Experience in handling multi-crore civil projects.
• Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
