General Manager – Ethanol Export Sales & Operations

The General Manager – Ethanol Export Sales & Operations will be responsible for driving international sales growth, developing new export markets, managing customer relationships, overseeing export operations, and ensuring profitable business expansion while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations.

Key ResponsibilitiesExport Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute export sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Identify and develop new international markets and customers for ethanol products.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts, pricing, and supply agreements with overseas buyers.
  • Monitor global ethanol market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international customers, distributors, and trading partners.

Export Operations

  • Manage end-to-end export operations from order receipt to shipment execution.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics providers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders.
  • Ensure timely delivery of export orders and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Oversee preparation and verification of all export documentation, including:
  • Commercial Invoices
  • Packing Lists
  • Certificates of Origin
  • Bills of Lading
  • Letters of Credit Documentation
  • Regulatory and Compliance Certificates
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs requirements, and international trade laws.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Monitor export profitability and gross margins.
  • Manage Letters of Credit (LCs), customer payments, and receivables.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize export costs and improve supply chain efficiency.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and develop the export sales and operations team.
  • Establish performance targets and key performance indicators.
  • Work closely with production, finance, quality assurance, and logistics functions to ensure seamless execution.

Candidate ProfileQualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in ethanol, chemicals, petrochemicals, biofuels, or bulk commodity exports.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior management or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing export markets and managing international customers.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of international trade, export procedures, and documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of Incoterms, Letters of Credit, and international shipping practices.
  • Excellent commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Performance Measures

  • Export sales growth and revenue achievement.
  • Gross margin performance.
  • New customer acquisition and market development.
  • Customer retention and satisfaction.
  • On-time shipment performance.
  • Receivables and collection management.

Pay: Rs500,000.00 - Rs700,000.00 per hour
