Position: General Manager Finance

Location: Lahore, Pakistan

The Catalyst Group is hiring a GM Finance for its client, a rapidly expanding food and beverage group with multiple brands and concepts, including full-service restaurants, quick-service outlets, and cloud kitchens.

About The Role

We are seeking a forward-looking and strategic General Manager Finance to serve as a finance business partner to the founders and management team. This role goes beyond traditional accounting the GM Finance will build financial systems, drive profitability, and enable data-driven decision-making across the Groups portfolio.The ideal candidate will bring F&B, retail, or multi-location business finance experience, with strong exposure to cost accounting, P&L management, and pricing strategies, coupled with the ability to provide strategic insights for expansion and franchising.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with founders to shape long-term financial strategy aligned with growth plans
  • Build financial models for expansion, franchising, and new ventures
  • Provide forward-looking analysis to guide strategic decisions.


Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Establish managerial accounting systems including P&L, cash flow tracking, and cost accounting
  • Deliver insights on unit economics, outlet performance, and new concept viability
  • Identify underperforming areas and recommend corrective actions.


Budgeting & Controls

  • Lead budgeting process and oversee forecasting
  • Strengthen cost controls, working capital management, and reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial visibility for leadership


Operational Finance

  • Partner with operations on pricing, procurement, and supply chain efficiency
  • Improve visibility on margins across outlets and brands
  • Introduce KPIs and dashboards to monitor business performance


Team & Systems Development

  • Build and mentor a capable finance team.
  • Implement ERP/financial management tools for scale
  • Drive structured processes to support growth and reduce inefficiencies


Requirements

  • Education: MBA in Finance (preferred), or Chartered Accountant with strong FP&A/strategy exposure
  • Experience: 812 years in finance, ideally with F&B, retail, or FMCG exposure
  • Strong expertise in managerial accounting, unit economics, and growth-stage business needs
  • Track record as a strategic partner with leadership, not just an accountant/controller.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with the ability to build from scratch.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with a young, dynamic leadership team.
