General Manager- KSA

Location: KSA, Full time

The General Manager– Saudi Arabia will be responsible for establishing and leading the company’s presence in the Kingdom, with a particular focus on localising the company’s products and services , setting up local operations and offices , and building a high-performing Saudi-based team . The role will drive growth in alignment with Vision 2030 , ensuring compliance with local regulations and maximising opportunities with key clients.

This is a strategic and operational leadership role that requires deep understanding of the Saudi energy market, government and regulatory frameworks, and localisation programs

Key Responsibilities

Market Entry & Localisation Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive localisation strategy for products, services, and operations in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and local content requirements.
  • Identify and establish local manufacturing, assembly, or service partnerships to meet localisation goals.
  • Adapt global offerings to meet Saudi technical, commercial, and regulatory standards.

Business Development & Key Account Management

  • Lead business development efforts with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), NEOM, ARAMCO and other key energy sector entities.
  • Develop and execute growth plan for KSA.
  • Promote Camlin solutions to customers via Partner network and direct sales.
  • Improve customer satisfaction by understanding customer requirements, communicating and delivering solutions to exceed their expectations.
  • Work with Partner Success Program leader to review existing Partner network.
  • Conduct frequent business reviews with Partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, EPCs, OEMs, and utilities.
  • Develop winning strategies for tenders, bids, and framework agreements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and policy developments to inform business strategy.

Establishing Operations

  • Set up and manage the Camlin Saudi facility (legal registration, licensing, HR, finance, and logistics).
  • Develop operational processes and ensure compliance with Saudi labour, tax, and commercial laws.
  • Select, negotiate, and establish relationships with local suppliers, consultants, and service providers.
  • Work with Global Service Director to develop and implement plan to enhance technical support for Partners & End Customers in country.

Team Building & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and lead a local team across sales, technical, project management, and administrative functions.
  • Foster a performance-driven, compliant, and inclusive culture aligned with corporate values.
  • Cooperate closely with Camlin internal teams to ensure the appropriate delivery of commitments to customer and maximize the customer’s overall satisfaction
  • To operate to the highest business standards, manage risk and protect the Camlin Group brand.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Define and deliver annual business plans, including P&L responsibility for Saudi operations.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for the country unit.
  • Identify investment needs for infrastructure, talent, and localisation initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

  • Represent the company at industry events, government forums, and client meetings in KSA.
  • Engage with ministries (Energy, Industry, Investment) and relevant agencies to support localisation and business expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with ESG, health & safety, and corporate governance standards.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the energy or power sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
  • Proven experience in market entry, localisation, or JV establishment in KSA.
  • Deep understanding of local procurement processes, grid connection requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Strong network within Saudi energy ecosystem, including MoE, SEC, Aramco, and EPCs.
  • Proven sales experience and a firm track record in a technical environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport.
  • Target driven individual who thrives under pressure and is ambitious to succeed.
  • Ability to travel throughout Middle East region.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic required

Desired Criteria

  • Depending on experience educated to Degree Level or equivalent in Electrical/ Mechanical / Technical or equivalent engineering discipline.
