General Manager - Operations (Night Shift)

Karachi, Pakistan

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic General Manager – Operations to lead and oversee the end-to-end operations that support our US-based retail network from our Karachi office. This role calls for an experienced leader with a customer-first mindset, a solutions-driven approach, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced night-shift environment.

You will be responsible for managing large, cross-functional teams, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining service quality, and meeting demanding deadlines while supporting multiple business entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership for all operational functions, including Administration, IT Support, Supply Chain Management, and Finance.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring maximum productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Partner closely with US-based leadership to align objectives, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional support.
  • Monitor KPIs to track performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Diagnose operational challenges promptly and implement proactive solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead process optimization, automation, and other initiatives to elevate efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop managers and team leads to strengthen leadership capacity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of senior operations management experience, with a proven record of handling diverse functions.
  • Demonstrated success leading large teams, ideally in a night-shift or international support environment.
  • In-depth understanding of ERP systems, POS platforms, and standard office applications.
  • MBA in Finance, Management, or an equivalent advanced degree from a recognized institution.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and executive presence.
  • Prior experience working with US-based or international stakeholders is a strong plus.
