General Manager – Operations (Paper Packaging)

About the Opportunity: I am a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Antal International (32 years of excellence in global recruitment). I am currently partnering with a prestigious client a leading Paper Packaging Manufacturing giant based in the UAE to identify a strategic leader for their operations.

Our client is a market leader in sustainable packaging solutions, known for their high-quality paper packaging products and strong international footprint. They are looking for a visionary General Manager to lead their business into the next phase of growth.

The Role: Reporting directly to the Chairman, the General Manager – Operations will hold full P&L accountability and lead the end-to-end business operations. You will drive strategic alignment, oversee manufacturing excellence, and spearhead commercial growth in global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead overall business operations, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and sustainable growth.
• Techno-Commercial Management: Bridge the gap between technical manufacturing capabilities and commercial market demands.
• International Business: Drive sales growth and strengthen relationships with key global accounts and export markets.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee production, quality, and supply chain management to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Financial Accountability: Manage P&L, budgets, and financial performance to maximize profitability.

Mandatory Requirements (Must Haves):

• Current Experience: You must be currently handling International Business / Export Markets .
• Role Type: You must have a strong Techno-Commercial profile (blending technical manufacturing knowledge with commercial/sales acumen).
• Industry: Extensive experience in the Paper Packaging manufacturing industry is essential.
• Leadership: Proven track record as a GM or Executive leading cross-functional teams (Sales, Ops, Finance).
