General Manager – Operations (Wholesale Garments)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Operations to lead and oversee all operational functions of our wholesale garment business. This includes managing warehouse/store operations, supply chain, order fulfillment, logistics, and interdepartmental coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth industry knowledge, and the ability to streamline processes for increased efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Operations Management

Plan, direct, and oversee all operational activities across warehouses, stores, and distribution.

Develop and implement effective operational strategies aligned with business goals.

Identify process bottlenecks and introduce improvements for operational efficiency.

2. Inventory & Warehouse Oversight

Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock control across multiple locations.

Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch.

Ensure implementation of inventory audits and compliance with stock procedures.

3. Supply Chain & Logistics

Coordinate with the procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of goods.

Optimize supply chain processes to reduce cost and turnaround time.

Manage third-party logistics partners and ensure high service levels.

4. Order Management & Fulfillment

Oversee the entire order lifecycle from receipt to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.

Liaise with the sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth B2B transactions and wholesale dispatches.

5. Team Leadership & Development

Lead and mentor operations, warehouse, and logistics teams.

Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and implement staff development programs.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

6. Compliance, Safety & Quality Control

Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and quality standards in warehouse and store operations.

Maintain accurate operational documentation and reporting for internal and external audits.

7. Reporting & KPI Management

Track and analyze key operational KPIs and prepare regular reports for top management.

Provide insights and recommendations based on data to support strategic decisions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in the garment/textile wholesale or manufacturing sector.

Proven leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations management.

Strong knowledge of inventory systems, ERP tools, and supply chain processes.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage cross-functional teams.
