General Manager – Plastic Bags Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead and oversee the full operations of a plastic bags manufacturing facility in Doha. The ideal candidate will have extensive factory and manufacturing experience within the plastic bags or related plastic packaging industry, strong leadership capabilities, and a hands-on management approach. Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall factory operations, including production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and administration.
• Drive manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and cost optimization while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals and market demand.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Manage and mentor department heads and factory staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the manufacturing unit.
• Coordinate with sales and commercial teams to ensure timely production and delivery.
• Monitor raw material procurement, inventory control, and vendor management.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance output and reduce waste.
• Report directly to ownership/board on operational performance and strategic matters.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within plastic bags.
• Proven experience as a General Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong factory operations and production management background.
• Excellent leadership, people management, and decision-making skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.
• Hands-on, proactive, and highly motivated with a “hungry” mindset for growth and results.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities.
