Known for our scratch made dough, fresh daily prep, and fast service model, Popup Bagels is reimagining what a modern bagel shop can be. Our mission is simple: bring people together over exceptional food and great energy, one dozen bagels at a time.

As we expand across Florida, we are looking for an experienced and people-focused General Manager to lead operations in our upcoming St. Johns Town Center location. This individual will be responsible for building and leading a strong team, and delivering consistent results that align with both brand standards and business goals.

Position Summary

The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations for their assigned Popup Bagels location. This role works closely with the District Manager and the Director of Operations, hiring and team development, and ensures the location delivers an exceptional guest and team experience. You will report directly to your District Manager.

This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, solving problems, and building structure in fast-paced environments.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Leading, developing, and coaching your team to operate with excellence.
  • Monitoring store-level performance and taking ownership of sales, labor, staffing, food costs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partnering with DM on recruiting, onboarding, and talent development to build strong in-store teams.
  • Creating an environment that prioritizes guest hospitality and brand integrity.
  • Ensuring store cleanliness, safety, and operational consistency throughout multiple locations.
  • Communicating regularly with the District Manager and vendors.
  • Addressing challenges with urgency, empathy, and sound judgment.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2 or more years of General Manager leadership experience in fast casual, quick service, or a similar hospitality setting.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, team development, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Hands-on leadership approach with a desire to be present in the field and support GMs directly.
  • Ability to lead through others, give feedback effectively, and inspire accountability.
  • Experience working in growing restaurant brands is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A calm, focused mindset when navigating change, conflict, or pressure.
  • A team-first approach and passion for supporting frontline teams.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary between $64,000 and $67,000 depending on experience.
  • Bonus opportunity up to $30,000 per year based on performance metrics.
