General Manager - Projects

Role Overview

We are looking for a Project Head to lead end to end execution of interior fitout projects for clients occupying long term leased premises. This is a senior delivery role that requires strong ownership of timelines, budgets, quality, and client experience. The leader will work closely with the Design team, clients, and execution partners to translate design intent into high quality, on time project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and oversee the execution of multiple interior fit-out projects from mobilization to handover.
• Ensure accurate interpretation and execution of client-approved design specifications across all sites.
• Drive adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality benchmarks, and safety standards.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage client communication, approvals, change requests, and expectation setting to ensure a smooth delivery experience.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Design, Commercial, Procurement, and Finance teams.

Planning, Scheduling & Controls

• Own project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure realistic and achievable delivery timelines.
• Track project progress against milestones and proactively address risks or delays.
• Prepare and present regular MIS, dashboards, and status reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Commercial & Vendor Management

• Oversee material procurement, vendor onboarding, and subcontractor management in line with project budgets.
• Ensure timely certification, billing, and payments to vendors while maintaining cost controls.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimization without compromising design intent or quality.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and guide project managers, site engineers, and execution teams.
• Ensure clear task allocation, accountability, and performance management across projects.
• Build a high-performing delivery team aligned to organizational standards and client expectations.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure projects comply with approved drawings, statutory norms, safety regulations, and internal quality standards.
• Conduct regular site reviews and audits to maintain execution excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in project execution within interior fit outs, commercial real estate, or construction.
• Proven experience managing multiple large scale projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, contracts, and vendor management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
