General Manager – Restaurant & Nightlife Operations

Are you a strategic leader with a strong operational mindset and a passion for hospitality? Local Gastro Bar, one of Pune’s most vibrant nightlife destinations, is looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, drive revenue, and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and event space to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage staff across departments including floor, kitchen, bar, security, and guest relations.
• Customer Experience: Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure guest satisfaction at all touchpoints.
• Financial Management: Monitor and control budgets, revenue, expenses, and profitability. Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports.
• Sales & Business Development: Work with marketing and BD teams to boost footfall, increase repeat customers, and drive event bookings.
• Inventory & Procurement: Supervise inventory levels, supplier negotiations, and ensure quality control of stock and raw materials.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to legal, hygiene, and safety standards at all times.
• Staff Hiring & Training: Participate in recruitment, training, and performance reviews to build and retain a high-performing team.
• Conflict Resolution: Handle guest escalations, team disputes, and operational challenges professionally and effectively.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in managing restaurants, bars, or hospitality venues, with at least 2 years in a senior management role.
• Education: Degree or diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Business Administration preferred.
• Leadership: Strong people management and communication skills, with a focus on building team morale and productivity.
• Analytical Thinking: Proficient in operational metrics, cost control, budgeting, and performance tracking.
• Tech Skills: Familiarity with POS systems, inventory tools, and basic MS Office or Google Workspace.
• Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Personality: Energetic, solution-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced nightlife environment.
