General Manager- Retail Banking

We are looking for a seasoned professional with strong leadership experience in retail banking, capable of driving business growth, managing large portfolios, and leading high-performing teams.


๐‰๐จ๐› ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ž:

The job holder will be responsible for planning, strategizing, developing and managing the Commercial business across the Regions of the Circle by achieving sustainable growth / profit through achievement of business targets/ goals (assets & liabilities) and delivery of quality service along with adherence to Control policies and procedures of the Bank.

๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐œ๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐š๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ:

1. Formulate, manage and coordinate strategies for the circle to maximise new business opportunities by cross selling to achieve the allocated targets.

2. Ensure smooth operational activities in the circle and effective controls/better audit ratings preventing penalties and fraudulent activities.

3. Sustain Service Quality Standards to create convenience for the customer by providing proper infrastructure in branches to keep up with the image of the Bank.

4. Develop, enhance and maintain relationships with key existing customers and government officials to ensure growth while monitoring the business operating environment with respect to market trends, interest rates, asset and liabilities positions, trade volume, credit facilities etc. to be a step ahead of the competitors.

5. Ensure that all the activities in the credit department are being carried out keeping in view for eye/maker & checker principles which will facilitate in increasing quality assets and reducing NPLs.

6. Development the skill base of RMs and indirect reporting staff (branches) by constant & consistent training, skill enhancement, motivating & coaching them to ensure productivity & performance.

๐Š๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ž๐๐ ๐ž & ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž:

MBA degree from a reputed university.

Thorough understanding of the Regulatory and Legal Environment

Thorough knowledge of Banking products, practices and procedures with awareness of market and industry trends

Computer proficiency

Credit appraisal & financial analysis skills;

Portfolio management skills

๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž:

10-12 years of banking experience including 5-6 years as ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐

๐๐ž๐ก๐š๐ฏ๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ:
