General Manager – Sales & Marketing

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager (GM) Sales & Marketing to lead our commercial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sales planning, brand development, and team leadership—with mandatory experience in Salt Sales. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and managing the overall sales & marketing strategy of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve business targets.
• Lead and mentor the sales & marketing team to enhance performance and productivity.
• Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with clients and distributors.
• Oversee market research, competitor analysis, pricing strategies, and brand positioning.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for the Sales & Marketing department.
• Ensure smooth execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, and trade marketing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and implement actions for improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Sales & Marketing.
• Salt Sales experience is mandatory (Salt industry / FMCG Salt category).
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing large teams.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyse market trends and drive strategic decisions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in FMCG sector.
• Strong network within retail, wholesale, and distribution segments.
• Expertise in brand management and trade marketing.
